Personal data means information about an individual that allows the identification of that individual, either directly or indirectly.
Statement on Privacy in Use of CCTV Cameras
(CCTV Privacy Notice)

Talingchan Animal Hospital (hereinafter referred to as “the Hospital” or “we”) is implementing the use of closed circuit television (CCTV) for surveillance in and around our buildings/facilities/shops to protect life, health and property. We collect personal information of our officers, workers, customers, employees, contractors, visitors or any other persons (hereinafter referred to collectively as “you”) who enter the premises through the use of such CCTV equipment.
This CCTV Privacy Notice (“Notice”) provides information about our collection, use, and disclosure of personally identifiable information (“Personal Data”), including your rights as follows:
1. Legal basis for processing personal data
We collect your personal data on the following legal bases:
❒ The need to prevent or suppress danger to the life, body, or health of you or another person.
❒ Necessary for our or another person's legitimate interests, where such interests are no less important than your fundamental rights in personal data.
❒ The need to comply with applicable laws governing the safety and environment of our workplace and property.
2. Purpose of collecting your personal data
We collect your personal data for the following purposes:
1. To protect your health and personal safety, including your property.
2. To protect our buildings, facilities and property from damage, disruption, destruction of property or other crimes.
3. To support relevant agencies in enforcing the law for the purpose of deterring, preventing, investigating and prosecuting.
4. To provide assistance in the dispute resolution process which arises during the disciplinary process or grievance process.
5. To provide assistance in the investigation process or the process of submitting complaints.
6. To assist in the initiation or defense of civil litigation, including but not limited to employment-related legal proceedings.
3. Personal information we collect and use
For the purposes stated in Section 2, we install CCTV cameras in visible locations, and will place signs warning of CCTV use in clearly visible areas, including areas that we deem appropriate to be surveillance points, in order to collect your personal information when you enter the following areas:

• Pictures of your property such as vehicles, bags, hats, clothing, etc.
• Pictures of pets
We will not install CCTV cameras in areas that may unduly infringe on your basic rights, such as rooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, or places used for worker rest.
4. Disclosure of your personal information
We will keep your CCTV footage confidential and will not disclose it except where we have a need to in order to achieve the surveillance purposes set out in this Notice. We may disclose CCTV footage to the following categories of persons or entities:
1. Agencies with authority and duties as prescribed by law to assist and support law enforcement or to conduct investigations, inquiries, or prosecutions.
2. Third-party service providers, for the purpose of ensuring the prevention or suppression of dangers to the life, body, health, and property of you or other persons.
5. Your rights under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562
The Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 aims to give you greater control over your personal data. You can exercise your rights under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 when the provisions regarding the rights of personal data owners come into effect, as detailed below.
1. The right to access, receive a copy of, and request disclosure of the source of your personal data that we collect, except where we are entitled to refuse your request by law or court order, or where your request would have an impact that could cause damage to the rights and freedoms of others.
2. The right to request correction of your personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete, so that it is accurate, current, complete, and not misleading.
3. The right to request the suspension of the use of your personal data in any of the following cases:
3.1. When we are required to verify your request, we will correct your personal data to ensure it is accurate, complete and current.
3.2. Your personal data is collected, used or disclosed unlawfully.
3.3. When your personal data is no longer necessary to be retained for the purposes we have stated at the time of collection, but you wish us to continue retaining it for the purpose of exercising your legal rights.
3.4. When we are demonstrating to you that we have a legitimate reason to collect, use or disclose your personal data or verifying the necessity to collect, use or disclose your personal data for the public interest, as a result of your exercising your right to object to the collection, use or disclosure of your personal data.
4. The right to object to the collection, use or disclosure of your personal data, unless we have legitimate grounds to refuse your request (for example, we can demonstrate that there are stronger legitimate grounds for collecting, using or disclosing your personal data, or for the establishment, exercise or enforcement of legal claims, or in the public interest in carrying out our mission).
6. Period of retention of personal data
To achieve the purpose of surveillance using CCTV equipment as specified in this announcement, we will retain personal information in CCTV cameras related to you for a period of 30 days. After this period, we will delete and destroy your personal information.
7. Maintaining the security of personal data
We have appropriate measures in place to maintain the security of your personal data, both technically and administratively, to prevent data loss or unauthorized access, deletion, destruction, use, alteration, modification, or disclosure of personal data, in accordance with our Information Security Policy and practices.
In addition, we have established a personal data protection policy that is publicly announced throughout the organization, along with guidelines for ensuring the security of the collection, use, or disclosure of personal data while maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data. We review this policy, including this announcement, from time to time as appropriate.
8. Responsibilities of the personal data controller
We have specified that only those personnel who have relevant authority to collect, use or disclose personal data for this processing activity will have access to your personal data. We will ensure that these personnel strictly comply with this Notice.
9. Changes to the Privacy Notice
In updating or changing this announcement, we may make changes as we deem appropriate and will notify you via the website https://www.talingchanpet.net/cctv-pdpa with the date of the most recent version at the end. However, we recommend that you check regularly to be aware of new announcements, especially before you visit our premises.
Your entry into the area is considered as your acknowledgement of the terms of this announcement. Please refrain from entering the area if you do not agree to the terms of this announcement. If you continue to enter the area after this announcement has been revised and posted on the above channels, you will be considered to have acknowledged the changes.
