There is currently a high demand for dog and cat blood. Taling Chan Animal Hospital has opened a blood bank unit to save the lives of pets that need blood and to help them survive the crisis of various diseases that require blood for treatment.
We invite you to apply for a blood donation membership for dogs and cats. Taling Chan Animal Hospital is accepting dog members to donate blood regularly every 3 months with the Blood Bank Unit to help dogs in need of blood. Those who want their dogs and cats to donate blood can inform their intention to register to donate blood with the hospital's Blood Bank Unit according to the following qualifications:
Qualities of dogs that can donate blood
1. Be in good health, strong, aged between 1-6 years, never received blood or had major surgery before.
2. Weighs 30 kilograms or more.
3. Get preventive care against ticks, fleas, and heartworms every 2 months.
4. Continuously get combined vaccination and rabies vaccination every year.
5. Not vaccinated within the past 2 weeks.
6. Females are not in heat, pregnant, lactating, or having miscarried within 3 months.
7. Do not have chronic diseases such as liver, kidney, heart disease, cancer or other infectious diseases.
8. Did not take antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs within the past week.
Characteristics of cats that can donate blood
1. Be in good health and strong, aged between 1-7 years.
2. Weighs at least 4 kilograms.
3. Be healthy, eat normally, and have normal bowel movements.
4. Receive continuous protection against ticks, fleas, and heartworms every month.
5. Continuously get combined vaccinations and rabies vaccinations every year.
6. Not vaccinated within the past 2 weeks.
7. Never received blood or had major surgery before.
8. For females, they must not be in heat, pregnant, lactating, or have miscarried within 3 months.
9. Do not have chronic diseases such as liver, kidney, heart disease, cancer or other infectious diseases.
10. Did not take antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs within the past week.
11. I consent to the cat receiving sedation if necessary while donating blood.
Benefits when donating blood
1. Dogs receive annual vaccinations (combined vaccine/rabies), heartworm and flea vaccinations every 2 months free of charge.
2. Get a health check and blood count before donating blood.
3. Receive benefits: When you join the project, you will receive a member ID card, which can be used as a discount on treatment fees at Taling Chan Animal Hospital.
- Donate blood 1 time, get 10% discount and a commemorative hero coin.
(Discounts on medical expenses, surgery expenses, medicine expenses, excluding doctor's fees, food expenses, transportation expenses, off-site service fees, and blood bank) - Donate blood 3 times, get a discount of 15% and receive a certificate.
(Discount only for blood products) - 5% discount for Pet shop
- Membership contract period: 1 year
4. The hospital will provide a shuttle service to and from your home free of charge.
5. The hospital reserves the right to change the contract and benefits as appropriate.
Blood donation and health check-ups are free of charge. (Except in cases where the patient is found to be sick and needs treatment, the patient will receive the above benefits.)
