Tooth root abscess in dogs

"Nahom", a 6 year 9 month old female Chihuahua, came for a checkup with symptoms of "tooth root abscess." Tooth root abscess can occur in dogs and cats with oral problems such as tooth decay and a lot of tartar, which allows germs to accumulate at the tooth root, causing abscess to form. Tooth root abscess is treated by tooth extraction and tartar scaling. Dr. Mednun, DVM, Phawinee Montien, Ultrasound Department, Dentistry Department, Internal Medicine Department.

Large ovarian cyst

Lucy, a Siberian Husky, has a large cyst on her ovary. She came in with symptoms of fluid flowing from her genitals and a foul odor, which was suspected to be uterine inflammation. She underwent an ultrasound with Dr. Mednun, who diagnosed her with a large cyst on her left ovary along with abnormal thickening of the endometrium. Therefore, she underwent surgery to remove the uterus and ovaries. 🤓Veterinarians who performed the surgery on Lucy: Dr. Maneerat Worakulsanti (Dr. Aum), Department of Surgery, Department of Orthopaedics and Joints, Department of Internal Medicine, Taling Chan Animal Hospital 🤓Veterinarian who performed the ultrasound: Dr. Phawinee Montien (Dr. Mednun), Department of Ultrasound, Department of Dentistry, Department of Internal Medicine

VDO underwater treadmill

Underwater treadmill physical therapy or hydrotherapy Walking on an underwater treadmill is a highly effective exercise. It is a treatment that helps improve the nervous system, muscles, and tendons of all four legs. After bone and joint surgery, dogs need to recuperate, causing them to not use their legs very well. Therefore, physical therapy is required to strengthen the muscles. Walking on an underwater treadmill reduces pain. The water supports walking, allowing the dog to put more weight on its legs.
