There is currently a high demand for dog and cat blood. Taling Chan Animal Hospital has opened a blood bank unit to save the lives of pets that need blood and to help them survive the crisis of various diseases that require blood for treatment.
We invite you to apply for a blood donation membership for dogs and cats. Taling Chan Animal Hospital is accepting dog members to donate blood regularly every 3 months with the Blood Bank Unit to help dogs in need of blood. Those who want their dogs and cats to donate blood can inform their intention to register to donate blood with the hospital's Blood Bank Unit according to the following qualifications:
Characteristics of dogs that can donate blood
1. Be in good health and strong, aged between 1-6 years.
2. Weighs at least 20 kilograms.
3. Be healthy, eat normally, and have normal bowel movements.
4. Get preventive care against ticks, fleas, and heartworms every 2 months.
5. Continuously get combined vaccinations and rabies vaccinations every year.
6. Not vaccinated within the past 2 weeks.
7. Never received blood or had major surgery before.
8. For females, they must not be in heat, pregnant, lactating, or have miscarried within 3 months.
9. Do not have chronic diseases such as liver, kidney, heart disease, cancer or other infectious diseases.
10. Did not take antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs within the past week.
11. I consent to the dog being sedated if necessary while donating blood.
Characteristics of cats that can donate blood
1. Be in good health and strong, aged between 1-7 years.
2. Weighs at least 4 kilograms.
3. Be healthy, eat normally, and have normal bowel movements.
4. Receive continuous protection against ticks, fleas, and heartworms every month.
5. Continuously get combined vaccinations and rabies vaccinations every year.
6. Not vaccinated within the past 2 weeks.
7. Never received blood or had major surgery before.
8. For females, they must not be in heat, pregnant, lactating, or have miscarried within 3 months.
9. Do not have chronic diseases such as liver, kidney, heart disease, cancer or other infectious diseases.
10. Did not take antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs within the past week.
11. I consent to the cat receiving sedation if necessary while donating blood.
Benefits when you bring your dog or cat to donate blood to the Dog and Cat Blood Bank Unit, Taling Chan Animal Hospital
1. The dog has received annual vaccinations (combined vaccine/rabies), heartworm and flea vaccinations every 2 months at no cost.
2. The cat has received annual vaccinations (cat flu/leukemia/rabies vaccine), heartworm and flea prevention drops every month at no cost.
3. Dogs and cats are checked for health and have their blood counts checked before donating blood.
4. Receive benefits: When you join the project, you will receive a member ID card, which can be used as a discount on treatment fees at Taling Chan Animal Hospital.
-Donate blood 1 time, get a discount of 10%.
-Donate blood 3 times and receive a discount of 15%.
-5% discount for Pet shop
-Membership contract period: 1 year
(Excluding medical fees, food fees, transportation fees, off-site service fees, and blood bank fees)
5. The hospital will have a car to pick up and deliver dogs and cats who want to donate blood to their homes free of charge.
6. Every time the hospital asks for blood donations, the hospital will contact you first.
7. The hospital reserves the right to change the contract and benefits as appropriate.
Blood donation and health check-ups are free of charge. (Except in cases where the patient is found to be sick and needs treatment, the patient will receive the above benefits.)
